Cargo piston pressure gauges are devices in which the measured pressure is balanced by the force created by calibrated weights acting on a freely moving piston. The main part of the device is a vertical column, in the cylindrical channel of which there is a piston. The most common pressure gauges with an uncompressed piston. There is a small gap between it and the cylinder, the space under the piston is filled with special oil, which enters the gap under pressure and provides lubrication of the rubbing surfaces. When measuring pressure to reduce friction between the cylinder and the piston, the latter is rotated by an electric motor. Pressure gauges of this type are characterized by high accuracy and a wide range of measurements (from 0.098 to 250 MPa).
